In Karis own words: Author, speaker, and counselor. I am passionate about helping others find the strength to endure, purpose in pain, and hope for tomorrow.
I have a BA in Christian Education and a MA in Counseling. It is my deep desire to help people discover the comfort of God and abundant life even amid life’s hardships. In my new book, Suffering Redeemed: Finding strength to endure, purpose in pain and hope for tomorrow, I share parts of my journey with chronic illness while processing different aspects of suffering, such as: intimacy with God in affliction, living in the already, not yet of God’s kingdom, peaceful expectation of surrender and faith, purposes in suffering, unexpected gifts in our pain, learning to suffer well, and much more.

So many people are living in isolated suffering, thinking they are the only ones. We don’t need to do it alone. That is where I come in. God has fortified my faith in my suffering; others can have that when given the opportunity. As a guest on your show, I intend to build community and a sense of belonging, giving the hardships we all encounter in this world their place but rising above them by the strength and love of God.
