The Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital BlogTalkRadio show was designed to provide a behind the scenes look at the people, places and work we do at Johns Hopkins All Children's. Each 30-minute episode will feature guest speakers from our institution who will share his or her own experience, knowledge and testimonial of what they do each day to make this institution the most advanced source of pediatric care on Florida's West Coast. Our host and guests will cover topics such as employee recruitment, corporate culture, clinical areas such as Neonatology, Neurosciences, The Heart Institute, Cancer, as well as what life is like on Florida's Gulf Coast. Our show will broadcast live on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 12:30 Eastern time. Meet Peter Shaw, M.D., Deputy Director of the Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute


Join us as our host, Carol McDaniel, sits down with guest Peter Shaw, M.D., Deputy Director of the Johns Hopkins All Children's Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute. Pediatric hematologist/oncologist Dr. Shaw, joined Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital on August 1 as Deputy Director of the Johns Hopkins All Children's Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute and Associate Professor of Oncology (PAR) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is also serving as the institute's interim director. Dr. Shaw works collaboratively with the entire hematology/oncology team and other pediatric specialists at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital to provide comprehensive care and the best possible outcomes for children, teens and young adults with cancer.   Dr. Shaw is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, where he also completed a pediatric residency at Montefiore Medical Center. His fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology was done at Children's Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University in Chicago. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
