Pediatric hematologist/oncologist Dr. Shaw, joined Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital on August 1 as Deputy Director of the Johns Hopkins All Children's Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute and Associate Professor of Oncology (PAR) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is also serving as the institute's interim director.
Dr. Shaw works collaboratively with the entire hematology/oncology team and other pediatric specialists at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital to provide comprehensive care and the best possible outcomes for children, teens and young adults with cancer.
Dr. Shaw is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, where he also completed a pediatric residency at Montefiore Medical Center. His fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology was done at Children's Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University in Chicago. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
