Our friend, comedian Cody Melcher, is obsessed with Truman Capote, the late writer best known for his books Breakfast at Tiffany’s and In Cold Blood. Like Hamilton the Musical’s Lin-Manuel Miranda with Alexander Hamilton, Cody feels a deep connection to Capote, so much so that he bid at auction to procure Capote’s remains.
Unfortunately, he didn’t get the ashes but he did make off with some of the celebrated author’s cufflinks and his used handkerchief.
Today, Cody Melcher joins us to talk about his job as a ghost tour guide and how we wanted to develop a reality TV show where he’d scatter Truman Capote’s ashes at historical literary sites.
