Growth in Case Management Jobs with Rose Turner (The Pulse Audio)

“There’s tremendous growth in case management jobs,” says San Diego expert Rose Turner, R.N. It is estimated that between 2012 and 2022, case management jobs will have grow by 19 percent for nurses and 27 percent for social workers. In this month’s Pulse podcast, Turner shares insights into the hybrid role case managers play, promoting both patient health and the fiscal health of health care organizations. Turner outlines a typical day in the life of a case manager and offers the traits of those best suited to the career. “Certifications are really important in case management, they speak to the expertise and the level of proficiency case managers bring,” she says. Turner also shares the earning potential for this growing market, which has niche specialties, for example, in geriatrics and pediatrics. Series: "The Pulse" [Health and Medicine] [Show ID: 31944]
