Last week President Trump announced he would not lift sanctions on Cuba, rolling back parts of former President Barack Obama’s historic opening to Havana. In the same week the U.S. Senate approved a new round of sanctions on Russia in response to the nation’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, as well as their involvement in Syria.
