Después de que sus padres se divorciaran y su papá se mudara de México a Arizona, Fernanda empezó a imaginar cómo sería vivir en Estados Unidos. Tenía 13 años e inició un diario –en un inglés imperfecto e idiosincrático para que su familia no pudiera leerlo– donde documentaba los planes de irse. Nunca quiso que esa mudanza fuera permanente, pero así fue, y Fernanda no ha vivido en México desde entonces. Hace unos meses encontró el diario y con él, tensiones no resueltas.
