Welcome to our seventh podcast of 2014 from Merseyrail Sound Station, recorded at Tankfield Studios with our host Jay Hynd. In these monthly podcasts we bring you all you need to know about the most exciting new music in the Merseyside area.
For October’s instalment we announce the ten finalists who'll be playing at the SOUND STATION FESTIVAL on 8th November at Moorfields Station.
Bido Lito! magazine’s Craig Pennington joins us to profile each of these ten finalists, who were selected from over a hundred entries to this year's Merseyrail Sound Station Prize. All ten finalists will perform a 15-minute set at the Sound Station Festival, from which the overall winner will be selected by a panel of judges to receive the amazing prize - a year of music industry mentoring, studio recording time and free rail travel.
