Anfang 2018 erlangte ein Arbeitspapier einiges an Aufmerksamkeit, in dem die Verdienste von Frauen und Männern ausgewertet wurden, die Fahrten bei Uber anbieten. Das Entlohnungssystem unterscheidet nicht nach Geschlecht. Dennoch verdienen Frauen dort 7 % weniger als Männer. Freakonomics Radio hat dem eine ganze Folge gewidmet.
