WDW Ride Guide Podcast

The WDW Ride Guide Podcast is an unofficial Disney podcast dedicated to exploring Walt Disney World one ride at a time. The sheer number of Disney rides make it nearly impossible to cover them all in an average family vacation. Add to that the incredible variety of storytelling throughout each park and it quickly becomes clear that every Disney rider will have a different favorite. The goal of our weekly podcast is to make it easier for you to plan ahead for the rides you don’t want to miss!

Creating a Personal Touring Plan for WDW

I’ve titled today’s episode “Creating a Personal Touring Plan for WDW.”  You will need to listen to the podcast to learn how to do just that, but first let me explain why the title itself is important in my mind.  First, I want you to create a plan!  There are tons of pre-programmed touring plans out there in cyber space, but those plans don’t take you the individual into account.  Sure there are great plans that help you navigate the parks efficiently, but what’s the point if you are experiencing things you don’t enjoy.  Or, maybe those plans are dependent on starting times and finishing times that don’t work well with your family’s schedule.  Most importantly though, you won’t be invested in those plans like one you create yourself.

One of the best things about a WDW vacation is the anticipation leading up to the trip.  The more time and energy you put into planning that trip, the more excited you are going to be!  If you create a plan that is tailored to your personal preferences, you are going to be even more invested once you arrive.  That is why today’s episode is about a personal plan.  I’m going to give you an outline of important dates, as well as some of my favorite tools to use as you create a plan that is all about you and your family.  Along the way I’ll share some of my own personal preferences and why I like to do things the way I do, but ultimately I want you to make the choices that work for you.

Finally, this is a plan for Walt Disney World.  That may seem like a no brainer, but one thing to always keep in mind is that Walt Disney World is constantly changing.  As I speak there are construction crews working all across Disney property in Florida.  What works for you on one trip may not work on the next.  Procedures are constantly changing to adapt to the new rides, shows, and experiences being added.  Technology is constantly evolving and how you utilize that tech is different today than it was even 6 months ago.  Keep all of this in mind when creating your personal touring plan.  You are planning for Walt Disney World, which is a massive moving target.

Don’t worry though, you can create a plan that will allow you to hit your mark when the time arrives to enjoy your vacation!  In fact, there are some very basic Know Before You Go Facts that will help you reach this goal.  Let’s get started with those and then discover how you can create a personal plan!

Know before you go essential facts:
