Sign up for the giveaway of The War of Art and The Heart to Start at kadavy.net/giveaway FREE Facebook Live on July 3rd, 2pm CST. Ask Me Anything about self-publishing. Like my Facebook page at kadavy.net/facebook -- -- -- Two announcements: One, I am giving away some books. Two, I'm going to answer your questions in a Facebook Live. Okay, One, giving away books. Steven Pressfield, the Steven Pressfield who wrote The Legend of Bagger Vance and many other screenplays and book – Mr. Pressfield personally sent me a stack of books for me to give away to my community – that means you. The book is The War of Art. You've probably heard about this book before. If you've ever had a dream of something you wanted to accomplish – I've you've struggled to make it happen – then you have felt what this book is all about. This book is all about "Resistance." Here's a great quote from the book: "Most of us have two lives. The life we live, and the unlived life within us. Between the two stands Resistance." So Resistance is that thing that keeps you from reaching your creative potential. It fills your head with doubts and excuses and fears. Pressfield's book, The War of Art, will help you identify that sneaky Resistance wherever it creeps into your mind. If you've read my book, The Heart to Start, it probably comes as no surprise that this book right here, The War of Art, was a huge inspiration for me in writing The Heart to Start. So, I'm matching Mr. Pressfield's generous gift to the community. For each copy of The War of Art Mr. Pressfield is giving away, I am giving away a copy of The Heart to Start right along with it. That means ten people will each get both of these books, The War of Art and The Heart to Start. If you have access to a mailbox in the US, check out the details on how to win at kadavy.net/giveaway I'd love to send the books all over the world, but unfortunately that proved to be a logistical nightmare. Hopefully my friends and listeners around the world understand, I can only send the books within the US. Again, check out kadavy.net/giveaway to enter to win one of ten bundles of The War of Art and The Heart to Start. Second announcement: The Facebook Live. You may have noticed that I've been publishing a lot of books lately. In fact, after publishing my first book, the time it took to publish my second book was six years. After publishing my second book, the time it took to publish my fourth book was only six months. In other words, I published three books in six months. I have gone on a self-publishing frenzy. You might say I caught the self-publishing bug. I have learned SO MUCH in the past six months. When I think back on where I was six months ago, I'd hate to go through that learning process all over again. I'll be sharing some of what I've learned right here on this podcast soon, but I also want to answer your specific questions about self publishing. I can't claim to know everything about self-publishing, but I know a heck of a lot more than I knew six months ago. It was a lot of work to sort through all of that disparate information and come to clarity. I figure, if I can just tell you some of what I've learned, I can save you some time and effort. I will be doing a FREE Facebook Live on July 3rd, 2pm CST. I will be answering your questions about self publishing. Ask Me Anything. If you have a question about self publishing, email me in advance at david@kadavy.net. That is the best way to ensure that your question gets answered. Or, just come to the Facebook Live and ask. Take your chances. I want to hear your questions. I'll be giving away yet another bundle of The War of Art and The Heart to Start to whomever asks the best question – scientifically-determined by...whatever I think is the best question. The Facebook Live will take place July 3rd, 2pm CST. That's noon on the West coast, or 3pm on the East coast. It will be on my Facebook Page. If you have not liked my Facebook Page yet, go and do that – just visit kadavy.net/facebook. Again, this is on my author page on Facebook, NOT my personal profile, kadavy.net/facebook will take you there. Send your questions to david@kadavy.net
