It’s been some time, but we are back. Fab and Dave talk Magic the Gathering, Rise of Industry and Linux kernel shenanigans. Fab also reviews Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

We’ve been away for a while, mostly because Fab was launching Hollywood Outlaws and because of that is currently rebuilding the Sixgun website. He’s also been really busy with work. Since he’s leaving soon for a holiday in the US, expect the episode draught to continue for a bit. We promise we’ll make up for the missed episodes at some point.

Our first topic this time is Doctor Strange, which Fab has finally seen. Dave reviewed it back on episode 27.

In the main part of the show, we discuss the code of conduct for the Linux kernel and Linus Torvalds’ sudden change of heart concerning sweary emails.

Dave revisits Two Point Hospital which he had mentioned on the show before. Fab, meanwhile, has been getting back into Magic the Gathering, because Dave told him about Magic the Gathering Arena. He’s now enjoying this quite a lot. If you’re interested in Magic or game design in general, Fab recommends the excellent Drive to Work podcast by Magic head designer Mark Rosewater, also known as Maro. He also gave a great lecture on game design at GDC 16.

We then have more games content, as Dave reviews Rise of Industry (which he didn’t like at all) and Fab reviews Shadow of the Tomb Raider which he loved. After we recorded the show, Fab also wrote a long review of the game on his blog.

We end the show by talking about your feedback.

cool! If you do go the podcast route an option is to link any visual media you discuss in the show notes. One of my favorite podcasts is @geeknewsradio and they have fantastic show notes
