Becoming a Believer

This episode Jon and Murph talk about what it means to “become a believer” in Call of Cthulhu 7th ed.
SQUAMOUS STUDIOS
Keep your eyes peeled for Arkham Relic Hunt, coming to Kickstarter on May 2, 2019, from Squamous Studios. In this new tabletop card game, players are cultist acolyte in servitude to a dark god as they scour through the darkest corners of Arkham looking for relics and new initiates that must be delivered to the dark god.
Arkham Relic Hunt is a competitive card game for 2 – 4 cultists, designed by Damon Gregory. Acolytes gain points by moving through Arkham, discovering relics and new initiates for your order, casting spells, and sabotaging other players. The cultist with the most points, wins!

TYPE40
Type 40 have just released their third Kickstarter continuing with their theme of immersive props and in world artifacts.
This time round it is the Disk of R’lyeh from Chaosium’s Shadows of Yog-Sothoth! They have created two versions. A full sized , 12 inch, 14lbs disk, in three pieces of solid cast aluminium, anodised in antiqued gold and encrusted with glass gems.  And a tabletop version, 5inch, 2lb die cast nickel alloy version also in antiqued gold with glass gems.
Both look and feel exactly how you would expect an artifact if ancient evil to be and make wonderful in game props or mythos display pieces.
The Kickstarter runs for 21 days and was launched on the 5th May.

In some show related news, We are now on Spotify! So please follow us there!
Jon has a new adventure available for purchase on the Miskatonic Repository, located within DriveThruRPG. It is called Of Wrath and Blood. This is actually an adventure I wrote back in 2010 for a contest on YSDC, (we’ve actually talked about it on the show last year). Well, I went through and tightened up my adventure, retitled it, and published it through the Miskatonic Repository. It’s only $5.00, and it’s filled with art and handouts. Please check it out.

Fred Hicks and Evil Hat Productions just launched their Fate of Cthulhu Kickstarter. From the Kickstarter, “The idea for Fate of Cthulhu started with a simple question: what if Cthulhu operated like Skynet? In this game you’ll face down Mythos-style threats with Terminator-style action and adventure, whether as a present-day Sarah Connor type, or an agent from the future already facing the creeping effects of corruption. This is Lovecraftian roleplaying made new again, with time-traveling operatives from a future apocalypse journeying back to the present day to warn others of the coming danger (and recruit them) to try to set the timeline on a new and hopefully better course.”

Goodman Games has a brand new Kickstarter that just launched today, April 25, 2019. Goodman Games is promoting their new system agnostic book, The Cthulhu Alphabet! This is the third book in their alphabet line; the first two being The Dungeon Alphabet, and The Monster Alphabet. I hope everyone checks out the Kickstarter and considers backing it. I am one of the contributing writers in this new alphabet book. I’ve seen a rough copy of the completed book, and it is absolutely amazing! It is filled with art!
Like the other alphabet books, The Cthulhu Alphabet book is chock-full of tables to spice-up your Lovecraftian game. There are tables that help the game master design a cult in just a few dice rolls. Or, helps generate some strange creatures indigenous to Ithaqua’s home realm. Or,
