Larry Knauer co-founded the sailing program at Adaptive Adventures, a nonprofit whose motto is "Freedom Through Mobility". He describes the specially designed boats they use to take people with a range of disabilites (including sight impairment) out on the water and teach them to sail, and the positive impact the program has on the partivipants and volunteers.
