You can’t spell Game Master without “pretentious.” Well, you can, actually. But let’s pretend you can’t so I can make a point. My point is a good Game Master needs a lot of big, fancy words at their disposal to make their flavor text as confusing as possible. Oops. I mean engaging, not confusing. More at



Mark this one down. In fact, chalk it up to some good information that came our way and that we now pass on to you. It’s the science, history, and best usage of that little white stick all the teachers used to have. A little bit of chalk.

Of course, now-a-days, you don’t see it quite often as you once did. It has fallen out of favor, both in real life and at the gaming table. Fortunately, there are still chalk aficionados who really appreciate a good thing when it comes along. Oh, and while we’re at it, we’ll tell you how to never, ever get lost in a maze.
