Did You Reddit?

A (mostly) weekly podcast about the Internet, by way of Reddit: the front page of the Internet. Each episode, u/ItsYerDad, u/MyFreeday, and u/DogBoobes discuss a different Subreddit, and the subcultures that this subreddit is about…kindof.

episode 110: 110: r/freefolk, u/dogboobes donut ASMR, and LOTR continues to be the one fantasy franchise to rule them all

Typically we don't double dip on pod topics, but with Game of Thrones continuing to spiral below the 50% on Rotten Tomatoes line, those who bend a knee to no man, r/freefolk, have spiritually recruited DYR North of the Wall. Or more accurately, there are just too many good front-page memes from r/freefolk for us to not talk about it, going into the final episode of the 2nd best fantasy franchise Hollywood export of all time. In the Redditsphere, there is more than one Game of Thrones specific sub, and at least a few are notably interesting. However, thanks to what some consider the worst episode in the entire 8 seasons of Game of Thrones, GoT meme-lords have steamed ahead of their contemporaries in the battle of Internet narratives. Plus, Darwinian evolution nudges the entirety of Alabama to have several less teeth than their American neighbors, u/dogboobes starts a new business, and u/itsyerdad loses his wallet live on the pod. This episode brought to you by the one ring to rule them all.
