When we were recording this episode, Notre Dame was post-lit. It's a real tragedy how many social influencers will never get the chance to ever take a photo in front of the spire, so we decided that the best way to pay homage to lord's monument is to talk about the lord's sub, r/dankchristianmemes. This sub is in many ways, a direct cousin of r/wholesomememes - one of the friendliest places on the internet. Instead of it being a sub for those god-fearing christians, it's more for people who have had a passing relationship with christianity throughout their lives, maybe through their midwestern childhood, catholic school, or weirdly religious uncle. Every joke packs a punch of nostalgia, since nobody seems to be a christian anymore unless you're a babyboomer living in Orange County, or Justin Bieber. Also, u/dogboobes gets her ears piereced, u/itsyerdad reads the book of revelations, and u/myfreeday invites construction works to come work while we're podd'in.
