Non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is one of the tumor types where the novel class of cancer immunotherapies—the immune checkpoint inhibitors—has had the biggest impact and certainly become a major component of the treatment arsenal in the advanced disease setting. While the approval and availability of an increasing number and variety of immunotherapeutic agents and combinatorial options has been welcomed by clinicians and patients alike, clinical decision-making has also become quite complicated.
