Junko Furuta war eine ganz normale Schülerin aus Saitami. Als sie an ihrem 17. Geburtstag nach Hause lief, wusste sie noch nicht, dass sie 44 Tage die Hölle auf Erden erleben würde. Sie wurde gekidnapped und das blieb nicht lange unbemerkt. Das Unfassbare: Ungefähr 100 Menschen müssen damals von Junko Furutas Gefangenschaft gewusst haben, taten jedoch nichts dagegen und nahmen teilweise selbst an der Folter und dem Mord teil.
