We had a supersized portion of #NewMusic in our playlist! An eclectic mix of original, intelligent, melodic, grown-up songs - #electronic, #rnb, #jazz, #blues and #acoustic. And mostly from artists who you have not heard of - yet!
Amongst the selections, there was #NewMusic from Magic Island, Rafiq Bhatia + Sam Dew, KNOWER + David Binney, Graveyard Club, Triathalon, Caoilian Sherlock, Grand Pax, Jacob Collier + Lianne La Havas, Babeheaven, Rhye + Ólafur Arnalds, Misty Blues, THESE NEW PURITANS, Fedras (Alex Fedra), Andreas Doif, Autumn Dawn Leader, Noble Oak, PHIL KING and Katie Spencer.
Our Luvva Cover was a chilled out version of a song first done by Blue Oyster Cult. It’s by Keep Shelly in Athens – give it a listen roughly half way through the show!
And, excitingly, we had a new release by Miles Davis! Yes! Some of his recordings have been lying on a shelf, forgotten, since 1985. The album was released last month – it’s well worth a listen
.
New music that you just don't hear anywhere else!
