episode 70: Erica Jong à Wendy Miller

Who is Wendy Miller:

Wendy Miller is an Emmy winning TV producer and comedy writer who has produced and/or written for The Oprah Show, Lifetime, Oxygen, NBC, TV Land, The Wayne Brady Show, The Tonight Show, VH1, ABC, Travel Channel, Walmart, Telepictures, and Paramount to name a few. In 2010, Playboy TV approached Wendy to create and oversee a brand-new type of programming: Upscale, network quality, sex-positive programming called TV For 2 that's designed to keep married couples sexually in sync. Wendy jumped at the opportunity to evolve one of the world's most iconic brands and create a brand-new genre of programming designed to help couples.

Surrounding herself with the best sex educators in the world, the student eventually became the master. After friends kept asking her for explicit advice and sex toy recommendations, Wendy began hosting sold-out Advanced Sexual Techniques seminars at her home, bringing together her sex educator colleagues with her suburban mom friends. Moderating these events, Wendy normalized the entire experience and made explicit sex education more attainable for women desperately in need of help and information. Aiming to reach a wider audience and bring her unique mix of sexual expertise and humor, Wendy launched her podcast, Sex Ed The Musical. In addition to hosting the podcast, Wendy is currently writing her memoir about her time at Playboy TV and how it changed her career, life and marriage in ways she never imagined.

Who is Erica Jong:

Erica Jong is one of my favorite writers ever! A brilliant novelist, satirist, and poet, and known particularly for her 1973 novel Fear of Flying. Fear of Flying was a life changer for me. The book is famously controversial for its attitudes towards female sexuality and figured prominently in the second-wave feminism.
