episode 157: 90. When a bass flute stank of cheese! - Gary Woolf


Clare speaks with her good flautist friend Gary Woolf via Skype whilst her dogs are making banging noises with their tails against the table she had her microphone on :-)

Gary Woolf was born in England. He studied at the London College of Music with Pat Lynden and attended Master classes with many famous flute players. During his studies Gary was first flute with the London 20 Chamber Orchestra. Since 1999 he has lived and worked as a musician and teacher in Münster. As a soloist he now performs in several duos with international artists and concert tours have taken him throughout Europe. He has performed on many cd productions and on German television. He directs several ensembles and a youth string orchestra called Banda di Musica. He teaches regularly on international master classes and has won many prizes for his flute-playing.
