Fiona Adamson is Reader in International Relations at SOAS. Joseph Downing (@JosephDowning1) is Fellow in Nationalism in the European Institute, LSE and author of French Muslims in Perspective: Nationalism, Post-Colonialism and Marginalisation under the Republic.
