As MLAs refuse a pay rise where is the money to pay for Stormont deal?


The pay is due to rise from £49,500 to £50,500 under rules set by the Independent Financial Review Panel. And they're due another £500 rise in April. Assembly members have no input to the panel's decisions on pay and expenses. Some MLAs have already offered to donate their increase to charity. Joining Stephen was the commentator Amanda Ferguson,the former Sinn Fein MLA Daithi McKay, Mick Fealty from Slugger O'Toole and Alan McQuillan, a former member of the Independent Financial Review Panel.
