Greg Kampanis is the SVP of Global Digital Networks for Blue Ant Media, an international content producer, distributor, and channel operator. Blue Ant is also the parent company of Omnia Media, a gamer talent network that creates social content and podcast shows for digital and OTT platforms. Greg started his career in consulting then transitioned into entertainment after grad school, working in business development at Viacom. He later served as SVP of Business Development and Operations for South Park Digital Studios and most recently as SVP, Studio for izo.

In this episode, Greg and I examine the diminishing power of traditional network brands like MTV as IP value has shifted to individual shows and talent. Greg cites South Park as a prime example of this phenomenon – a series that has not only managed to constantly reinvent itself and stay relevant among young audiences but one that has also paved the way for other adult animation content. We also debate the outcome of the streaming wars, particularly the fate of new entrants like Quibi and Peacock. Finally, we take a look at the growth of advertising for online gaming content and evaluate solutions for better measurement between traditional and digital media platforms.
