On The Continent: Cholismo reigns supreme, Neymar proves his worth, and Atalanta score even more goals

Despite the Coronavirus pandemic forcing more leagues behind closed doors, and some into mid-season postponement, there’s still plenty to discuss on today’s episode of On The Continent; Andy Brassell is joined by Lars Sivertsen and David Cartlidge to review this week’s Champions League action!

We begin with Atlético’s Cholismo-inspired win over Liverpool as Diego Simeone’s side withstood a siege from Klopp’s men. We discuss the Liverpool manager’s comments about Atléti not playing ‘proper football’ and the gradual emergence of teenage sensation João Félix. Elsewhere, PSG beat Dortmund 2-0 behind closed doors as Neymar proved once again he can deliver the goods when it truly matters, while RB Leipzig breezed past another uninspired Tottenham side.

There’s also time for chat on Atalanta's relentless goalscoring and the threat posed by Coronavirus to players, fans and institutions alike.

A quick note: we didn't do a Games of the Week section this week, due to the current situation involving league cancellations and postponements.
