So on Sunday, the Bay Area (in which I live) issued a "shelter-in-place" mandate, meaning if you don't have to go out, DON'T. On Thursday, that order was expanded to the entire state of California.
Because of that, maybe I'm going a little stir crazy. It's weird to see pictures of the Bay with no traffic anywhere, and to skip things that have been staples in my life, like pub trivia night or boardgame night.
I've been doing what I can to stay in contact with friends/family via Facetime, Facebook Videochat and the like, but it's still a very weird disconnect. I deal with trauma with gallows humor, so I made this, show zero, full of apocalypse songs.
Soon, I'll do another one, full of more upbeat stuff. But I thought I'd give everyone an update from the frontlines, so I maybe talk more this episode than normal. A slice of life of what right now is like, to be preserved for posterity. We're all living through history. Maybe a little extra talking time is warranted right now.
Still, it's my show and while I'm happy to have you along for the ride, Imma do me. Enjoy.
