The Neurology podcast is introduced by Editor-in-Chief Robert A. Gross, MD, PhD, who discusses several highlighted articles in the current issue of Neurology®. The podcast regularly features content from Neurology® Clinical Practice, Neurology® Genetics, and Neurology® Neuroimmunology & Neuroinflammation. Opening segments include interviews with authors who summarize a current article and discuss the main findings and clinical implications for neurologists. It concludes with the Lesson of the Week, a short segment on a topic such as a laboratory technique, statistical methods, or historical neurology. Regular features also include Delayed Recall, ePearls, and What’s Trending. Podcast listeners can earn 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™ by answering the multiple-choice questions related to Neurology content in the online Podcast Quiz. Neuromyelitis Optica Treatment (Neurology Recall 2020)

In this replay of previous episodes, we features discussions on the treatment of neuromyelitis optica. We begin with Dr. Ted Burns' interview of Dr. Stacey Clardy from Dec. 2019 on treatment and prevention of disease activity. From October 2019, Dr. Stacey Clardy talks with Dr. Sean Pittock on eculizumab in aquaporin-4–positive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder. The 3rd segment is from Nov. 2019 and features Dr. Clardy's talk with Dr. Silvia Tenembaum about prognostic indicators of improvement with therapeutic plasma exchange in pediatric demyelination. Next, there's Stacey Clardy's talk with Dr. Richard Burt on autologous, nonmyeloablative hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation for neuromyelitis optica. Finally, Dr. Jeff Ratliff talks with Dr. Maureen Mealy, from May 2020, about scrambler therapy for NMO-related pain.
