Many of my podcasting friends poo-poo the idea that a Netflix of podcasting will arrive. They decry the loss of the open nature of podcasting when that happens.
But as a curation tool, Netflix is hard to beat. And when your consideration set is in the hundreds of thousands or millions, a standard directory does't cut it.
New people don't want to wade through a cluttered mess.
