Football Ramble Daily

In 2007, The Football Ramble was born out of Luke Moore, Pete Donaldson, Marcus Speller and Jim Campbell’s passion for the most popular sport in the world—as well as a shared inability to take themselves too seriously. Since then, the boys have come a very long way: from a best-selling book to sold out live shows. Now, with the return of football post-lockdown, the Football Ramble brings you daily episodes of equal parts insight and hilarity. All this and more, Monday through Saturday. Lend us your ears and we’ll keep you up to date with the latest stories from the Premier League and all around Europe, all with an eye for both the sublime and the ridiculous.

The Return of the Premier League – Episode 2: The New Normal

We're back with the second episode of our three-part series, The Return of the Premier League, hosted by Melissa Reddy!

With football trying to implement the early stages of Project Restart, the priority was ensuring the safest working environment possible for a return to training. On today's episode, we look into how players had to be convinced by robust scientific evidence and the successful resumption of the Bundesliga before they felt comfortable to get back at it. We hear from the likes of ESPN's Mark Ogden and STATSport's Sean O'Connor about football's unprecedented new normal, while Bournemouth defender Chris Mepham describes what getting a Coronavirus test actually feels like!

Episode 3: 'Money and neutral venue madness' will be available tomorrow! All music courtesy of Epidemic Sound.
