episode 92: The Cycling Podcast Féminin | August 2020

In the August episode of The Cycling Podcast Féminin we speak to Lizzie Deignan, the former world champion who rides for Trek-Segafredo and returned to racing with the rest of the women's peloton last month.
Deignan discusses the races to come, picking out La Course by Le Tour de France at the end of August as a highlight, and she talks about the world's best rider, Annemiek van Vleuten, who is unbeaten this season. "I'm not training to that level," says Deignan of Van Vleuten, "most of the male pros I know are not training to the same level. I'd probably be in a box, six feet under, if I tried to emulate her training."
Orla Chennaoui, Rose Manley and Richard Moore look ahead to the races to come, picking a race, a rider and a team to look out for. And we also hear from Bob Varney of Drops Cycling Team about their search for a new sponsor and the impact of winning the Virtual Tour de France.
