Vaccine Distribution Plans and A 9/11 Retrospective


The Disaster Podcast team is back with a look at vaccine distribution plans in the U.S. during the pandemic. Jim Logan from Paragon Medical Education Group comes back on the show after assuming a role in his local health department to help with vaccine dispersal and administration plans.
After a brief discussion on recent weather trends and the activity in the tropics for the Atlantic and Gulf coasts with Becky Depodwin, we do a deep dive into how vaccines will be released after due scientific approval following all appropriate patient trials have proven safety and efficacy.
The team wraps up the show with a retrospective on the nineteenth anniversary of 9/11. Sam Bradley recounts her experiences during deployment to Ground Zero at the site of the World Trade Center tower collapse following the attacks. Dr. Joe Holley and Jim Logan share a few powerful personal stories from their deployment as part of the USAR teams at the Pentagon after the attacks. All agree this day is a special one we must remember.
