Dustin Knight runs a modified version of his Pathfinder Society Quest, Wayfinder Origins, for Ryan Costello, Alexander Augunas, Vanessa Hoskins, and Andrew Sturtevant to compare the magus and the summoner to a fighter/wizard and a conjuration specialist wizard at 6th level.

NOTE: Ryan here. I tried to recreate his 1e staff magus. Early on, I mention that unlike my 1e version, I can’t use a magic staff as a weapon, so my character has a staff of abjuration as well as bo staff. After we finished recording, everyone pointed out a line in the magic staff description that explicitly states that magic staves can be used as weapons. My mistake.
