Xiao (Sean) Zhang is the Co-Founder & CEO of Talon Esports, a professional esports organization with seven teams across APAC. Prior to launching Talon, Sean worked in finance at Kenetic, CLSA, Barclays, and National Australia Bank.

During our conversation, Sean shares his decision to leave banking and pursue a career in esports. He predicts increased gaming activity and VR adoption following the release of Sony and Xbox’s new consoles next year as well as more mobile games becoming competitive esports titles. Finally, he explains how esports adoption varies throughout the APAC region and encourages young, aspiring entrepreneurs to take more risks and not be afraid to make mistakes.
