John Podesta, Hillary For America Campaign Chair, talks about Clinton's strategy in New York ahead of the April 19th primary.
Podesta explained how Clinton has long-supported a nation-wide $12 minimum wage. When pressed on why she doesn't support a $15 floor, like Senator Bernie Sanders and New York Governor Cuomo, Podesta said she supports a $15 wage in cities and state that can support it, but she's focused on getting wages to grow across the board.
Podesta often cited Sanders' recent meeting with the New York Daily News editorial board, saying that he lacked specifics, especially on breaking up big banks.
"You keep coming back to the fact that he promises big things. The question is, does he have serious plans to get things done? And I think that Daily News editorial meeting showed...he couldn't explain what he would do about it."
He also responded to Sanders' recent statement saying Clinton is not "qualified" because of money that she has accepted through special interest funds.
"The fact that he's calling her 'unqualified' is really regrettable. He should take it back."
