Rúnar Pétur lives in the northeast of Iceland. A place with lots of untouched mountains, but - with him - only a handful of active freeriders. Nevertheless, the snowboarder, who earns his money through working on fishing boats during summer, has managed to produce another timelessly beautiful film together with filmmaker Vidir Björnsson: Fjörd Lines. For the following podcast, the two sat down in Rúnars Van somewhere in Iceland. In this new episode of #offpisteonair they talk about the secret freeride paradise Iceland, it’s differences compared to the huge winter sports industry in the Alps and the consequences of climate change that have long been visible - and what we could do about it ourselves.
