Benjamin Jealous, former president of the NAACP, now a partner at early Uber investor Kapor Capital, spoke on behalf of the Sanders campaign.

When asked about Sanders' meeting with the New York Daily News Editorial Board, Jealous said, "I'm not sure why the Daily News put the spin on it that they did," referring to the negative feedback.

"What he's really running centrally on is ensuring that working people in our country can have faith that the American dream works for them," said Jealous.
