One of the few Republicans on the City Council, Councilmember Eric Ulrich (R-32), is supporting Ohio governor John Kasich in the upcoming New York primary.

Councilmember Ulrich said he thinks Kasich has a terrific record, especially when it comes to reaching across the aisle which "is so important and makes him so unique."

Ulrich recognized that affordable housing is a major issue for most New York voters. "If there was anybody who was going to support affordable housing projects, I think it would be [Kasich]."
