The chosen title for this week’s music show has a double meaning. The Vision Of Small Moments In Lockdown Paradise refers to the fact that even with being in this 2020 pandemic there is no need to be depressed and or sit back waiting until Covid-19 leaves us alone. While we hold on to the measurements taken we can continue with living and being happy even in lockdown during these difficult times.

You have to see the beauty in small moments in this lockdown paradise is what it actually means. Next to that the title also refers to some of the included tracks, artists and albums that i curated for this selection in Dirty Disco 383. It’s also in alignment with the same message these artists are spreading and why they created the music in the first place.
To give you a few examples: The Vision refers to the all new debut album ‘The Vision’ by The Vision released on Defected Records. Then there is ‘Small Moments’ which is the fantastic debut album by the alter ego of one of my favorite artists, the multi-instrumentalist and vocal sensation Jordan Rakei who also creates electronic music under his Dan Kye moniker. His album Small Moments was created during his lockdown experience with just a laptop, some live instruments and guest musicians.

I could even extend the title and include Dan Kye’s track Focus in it as in The Vision Of Focus On Small Moments In Lockdown Paradise. But I find that this would be too long and too complex. Therefore I’ll just refer to it here as it’s one of my favorite goosebump triggering tracks from Dan Kye’s – Small Moments. Lastly there is ‘Lockdown Paradise’ mentioned in the title, which refers to more than one thing and clearly the time we are in now. Paradise happens to be the track by The Vision I’m starting the show with. ‘Lockdown Things’ Is a track in the selection by Herr Krank coming from the great ‘House De France Vol 2’ V.A. album compilation on Chat Noir.
