Specter Cinema Club

The ghosts of your horror movie club explore a different sub-genre each month! Featuring creators from the spooky community, stoner filmmaker DeVaughn Taylor & film journalist Garrett McDowell discuss the recurring motifs of various sub-genres and what makes the best genre films work. New episodes every Tuesday! NOTE: We recommend starting at Season 2 (Ep60) as that's when Garrett joined and began our current format. Season 1 was the experimental phase haha NOTE: The first 99 episodes, we were under "Bloody Blunts" however the show didn't change, so Season 3 is where we continued as "Specter Cinema"

episode 12: AMERICAN PSYCHO (2000) & VAMPIRE'S KISS (1988) // Identity Crisis

Welcome back to the Bloody Blunts Cinema Club and we're flying solo: just me, myself, and I baby! Luckily I have my boys Patrick and Peter to keep me company, as I talk about two movies about rich yuppy white guys losing their marbles: AMERICAN PSYCHO (2000) & VAMPIRE'S KISS (1989). These movies are basically the same film in many ways, but subtle filmmaking techniques see the films utilize their similar sub-genres in different ways.

New episodes every Tuesday; but in this case, next up we have a bonus episode Friday taking a trip to the HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES!
