episode 149: The Grandest Tour stage 5: Premature celebrations

A mountainous stage 5 of the Giro d’Italia was won by the heaviest man in the race, Filippo Ganna, after an apparent row between his breakaway companions, Thomas De Gendt and Einer Rubio.

We hear from both De Gendt and Rubio, with each having a different view of what went on.

In this episode we also hear from Simon Yates, who still hopes to win overall, from Jakob Fuglsang and our old friend Ciro Scognamiglio of Gazzetta dello Sport.
