episode 12: EP12: What happens with the lights go on and the curtains open?

It you've ever wondered what it would be like to perform under the lights on a Broadway Stage, this is the episode for you.  What does it feel like when the the curtain opens, and it's time.  In Today's episode I have a conversation with the incredible and inspiring, Katie Diamond.  Katie has written, produced, and starred in numerous musical and cabaret shows in her 20-year career, most notably as Lorraine in Jersey Boys on Broadway. Raised in Seattle, Diamond attended the New England Conservatory of Music, eventually making her way to New York City.
As we begin our journey in life after 40, 50 and beyond it's easy to allow our fears to set in and put our dreams on hold. As you hear Katie's story, she continues to use her gifts in musical theater to leave an imprint on the community, and share her passion with others.  It's never too late and you're never too old.  I encourage you  to make your way an hour north of NYC when you travel this way, and check out ACT, A Contemporary Theater of Connecticut, where Katie is the the Co-Founder and Executive Producer.  If you've ever wanted to take voice lessons, join a choir, or help with set design keep following your dreams, push their fears aside and kick the age stigma to the curb.
