Intro Music: "Part of the Room" by Jamie Evans!

  • Question from Doug: Justin, how much has your work affected your ability to enjoy just listening to music? (stab: Mesa Throttle Box)
  • Pedal Genie
    • Lollygagger FX Canaglia $209 for standard, $249 for special
  • Gamechanger Audio Light Pedal Reverb 349$ (stab: Walrus Rainbow Machine)
    • World’s first analog optical spring reverb tank
    • Their claim is that a lot of energy is lost when the source audio reaches the spring tank output. This uses infrared sensors along the length of the spring to detect insanely small movements in the spring tank
    • It opens up a wider range of frequencies, harmonics, and overtones that are typically lost in the mechanical reverberation process.
    • Orange LEDs for your traditional reverb signal, white LEDs for the optical sensors
    • Controls for spring and optical sensors let you blend the two together
    • The control knob lets you choose which sets of optical sensors are active along the length of the spring
    • Trails on/off switch, footswitch can be set to latching or momentary
    • Expression pedal input
    • Bunch of modes with effects and stuff.
      • Sweep mode is a modulation style that activates the optical sensors in a wave pattern top to bottom.
      • Trem mode pulses the optical sensors at the top of the spring which only adds trem to the reverb signal, so you can dial out the dry knob to blend it.
      • Reflect mode is is a lo-fi delay that sends the signal back through the reverb.
      • Feedback mode sets the reverb to self-oscillation.
      • Harmonic mode is somewhat like a shimmer but it’s created in analog.
      • BIG SHOUT OUT TO OUR PATRONS!
