The course is designed to provide an overview of mining and NEPA and is geared towards how tribes can participate in the NEPA process. Part 1 will educate participants on the major steps in mine development, exploration, types of hardrock mining, and mineral processing. Presenters will provide an engaging look into the world of hardrock mining. Participants will walk away with a basic understanding of the types of mining and gain a common language to communicate about mining in their geographic area of interest.
