Ditching Your Comfort Zone- 

Todd speaks about ditching his comfort zone and what he had to go through, being very introverted, not participating in conversations around peers. 
Todd learned that sometimes you have to go out and approach others instead of waiting for them to come to you.
Todd also shared that avoiding difficult conversations at work or in your personal life does not allow for growth and development.

Having Difficult Conversations At Work-

As a leader, being able to have difficult conversations with your employees is an integral part of the success of your team and organization. 
These conversations can be difficult mainly because of fear of failure. Transparency, authenticity, and vulnerability are crucial to change and growth amongst a team. 
Managing difficult conversations helps us build and maintain healthy personal as well as work relationships.

Todd shared that when a connection is missing from a team it allows for doubt amongst the team; doubt in that their leader is not concerned with the best interest of the team.
As a leader, whether you are the Team Lead or Manager you have to engage and connect with your team, in order to build a certain level of trust.
Todd shared that communication is important across all levels within a company.
Communication shows team members that you as leader care about your team.

We become so sheltered in our comfort zones that instead of embracing challenges, we avoid them. 
One of the main issues with having a fixed mindset versus a growth mindset is that we feel threatened by the success of others instead of finding lessons and inspiration in the success of others.
