Maria Büeler Zischler is living proof of a diverse career path: her story began at SHL Schweizerischen Hotelfachschule Luzern, where, after completing her commercial apprenticeship, she studied to achieve the title of "Dipl. Hôtelière-Restauratrice HF". After graduating from SHL, Maria worked at Art Deco Hotel Montana in the marketing and sales department. For twelve years she helped shape the succcess of the company - most recently as Head of PR and Events and a member of the Executive Board. In 2018 Maria fulfilled her desire to assume sole responsibility for a hotel by taking over her dream hotel "Alden Splügenschloss" and so became the only female hotel director of a 5-star hotel in the city of Zurich.
So why did Maria change industries after such a successful career in the hotel industry?
