Trenton the tractor has so much to say, but he listens first to the others. With understanding, he changes his thoughts and helps.

Listen, Tractor, Listen Excerpt:

Sunlight began to spill across the fields on the crisp, fall morning.  The grass sparkled with frost. Trenton the tractor smiled. The sunrise was beautiful. He turned to see if the others were out. He wanted to share the magical moment.  The little yellow tractor looked to his right. No one was there.  Then he looked to the left. No one was there.  The tractor wondered where everyone was.  It was time to get moving, the sun was up!  So Trenton headed back to the red barn, to see where the others were.  As the tractor rolled through the barn doors he could see that everyone was peacefully sleeping.  They had been working pretty hard lately, so he decided to let them rest and enjoy the morning on his own.
 
The dragon peeked out of the forest, eager to see what was going on at the farm today.  Noticing that the red barn was closed, the dragon thought, that was odd.  Usually when the sun came up, the farm vehicles were busy working and creating music with the animals. The dragon looked around some more and then saw the tractor roll out of the barn, smiling.  Maybe there would be some music after all.
 
Trenton the tractor rumbled back out of the barn. Then he turned off his motor to enjoy the peace. The little yellow tractor took a deep breath of the fresh morning air, and listened to the sounds of the morning.  Delicate melodies drifted down from the trees.  The birds were singing their happy songs.  The tractor realized that there were certain animals that were too quiet to hear over the sound of his engine.  The tractor listened closely to the quiet song he usually missed.
