Friederike Meckel - Encore

This week, we are bringing you another in our series called Confessions of The Psychedelic Elders. In this series, prominent people in the sciences and arts are going to reveal details of their courageous sub-rosa self-experimentation with psychedelics over the past decades.

My purpose in creating this series is to counter the half-century of disinformation that our country has led the world into believing about psychedelic medicines and reveal that distinguished professionals, contributory citizens, patriots, solid fathers and mothers, and civic leaders have risked their careers and their livelihoods in order to learn about – and from – these psychedelic substances and thereby allow the general public to benefit from their significant healing properties.

Our guest this week is the renowned Swiss medical doctor Frederike Meckel Fischer. For years, Dr. Fischer courageously risked everything in order to train other medical doctors in the use of psychedelic medicines, until she and her husband (an attorney) were arrested in their home and taken to jail where they spent 13 days before being released – only to then be brought to trial and sentenced.

This is a must-hear interview. Tune in tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 7/27) at 9 AM Pacific Time for a rebroadcast of the interview, which aired live last Tuesday, or subscribe to the show wherever you listen to podcasts, and leave us a 5-star review in Apple Podcasts.
