#FemFriday w/Mia Bloom, Sophia Moskalenko, Kim Kelly, Hadas Thier & Kate Willett | The Nomiki Show

#FemFriday on a Saturday?!!! Yes, another week, another battle with various big tech obstacles resulting in this week’s #FemFriday coming to you on Saturday. Rest assured your frustration is shared on our end and we can’t thank everyone enough for your patience and support, we’re going to get through this together.

For this week’s #FemFriday (on Saturday), Nomiki Konst is joined by political scientist Dr. Mia Bloom & psychologist Dr. Sophia Moskalenko to discuss their recently co-authored book Pastels and Pedophiles: Inside the Mind of QAnon. These two experts of extremist radicalization take us down the QAnon rabbit hole, exposing how the conspiracy theory ensnared countless Americans, and show us a way back to sanity.

Next Nomiki speaks with freelance journalist and organizer Kim Kelly about striking Alabama miners taking the fight for labor justice to BlackRock’s NYC headquarters. In addition to writing a labor column for Teen Vogue, regularly contributing to The Baffler magazine and appearing in many other publications, Kim is also the author of the forthcoming book Fight Like Hell, which covers intersectional labor history.

Rounding out this week’s fabulous #FemFriday (on Saturday) we have an outstanding panel of co-host of the Comedy Podcast Reply Guys Kate Willett and author and activist Hadas Thier. Hadas is a regular contributor to Jacobin as well as the author of the book A People’s Guide to Capitalism: An Introduction to Marxist Economics.

Nomiki, Kate & Hadas talk about the vitriol from the usual clown car cavalcade that is the Right-wing punditry following Simone Biles’ withdrawal from the individual all-around competition at the Tokyo Olympic Games in order to focus on her mental well-being. The panel also goes through and discusses a recent Twitter thread from Amanda Knox responding to the new film “Stillwater,” which everyone should definitely read and be aware of.
