But, I do explain the customs of the time so that we in our 21st century world can understand what was happening in the first century. I leave the application and interpretation up to you. You make up your mind about how these words and actions should impact you — or if they should impact you.

episode 17: Jesus Stories #17-Where Does the Power Come From?
In this episode of Jesus Stories, we find out who provides support for Jesus and his disciples as they travel around Israel. We see the opposition to Jesus ministry increase. But, we also see Jesus fighting back with some very “to the point” teaching. In this episode, Jesus is accused after he throws a demon out of a man of working in league with the devil. Jesus corrects that misconception with some simple logic. Then he refuses the Pharisees demand for a miraculous sign; he changes the definition for family; and roundly condemns the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and teachers of the law.
