Otra etapa durísima y con mucho calor con 4 subidas importantes, una salida de etapa muy veloz con 51kms en la primera hora de carrera.
Después de mucha batalla, por fin se escaparon del pelotón Rafal Majka y Fabio Ari inicialmente, y los últimos 80kms de la etapa fueron un paseo triunfal para el ciclista polaco del equipo UAE.
